I'm sorry I have neglected this blog for so long. I believe that I need to continue to contribute to connecting all of us.
I talked to a guy today that is in 60's. A veteran and now a graphic designer. When he was a kid he worked for 5 a day. He mentioned child labor and I said you know what when you grow up in certain areas you work. You do what you need to do to keep things moving along.
During that process of moving along you experience life and you learn from an early age what life is about.
I'm so incredibly proud for the fact that I did some jobs for $2 an hour. Why you say because it helped the person I was working for. Also they helped me.
If I could buy some gas or a coke, beer or even a date with someone with the money it was all worth it.
The fact is that in a small area we were all in it together. If this person made money good chances are that we did. Plus you were not a worker you were a friend and they treated you for the most part like family.
That's incredible and you know what else back then. If you needed something someone would help.
America and life has become to closed minded. People have forgotten what it takes to help others. I'm not saying help those that are just going to take the money you give and buy a beer.
I'm talking about those that have had some hard luck and need a break and need some assistence. Guess what if you help them they will help others. Life has become to much about me and not enough about community in the cities. Maybe the cities never had it. But the small towns did and that is why all of you that have lived there need to remember it's relationships and friendships that will generate prospeirity.
I'm sorry for the short note but I will try to keep writing and thank you for reading. Also thank you for being such sound people. The world needs more of us.
